Let it Rain!

We all know the satisfaction that comes with finally completing some task that you’ve been meaning and wanting to complete for some time.  This feeling was induced in the Hyla Woods team this morning as we snugged down the final pieces of roofing on the 12′ x 50′ lean to extension on the shed in our Manning Forest.  In keeping with our core goal of “taking care of what we’ve got”, the new addition will provide welcome shelter for our trusty trailers that have spent too many winters sitting out in the rain.  All of the wood was milled from a large doug fir that blew down over on Mt. Richmond.  Dan Titus and his crew, who we first met when they served as excellent contractors on one of our stream restoration projects, did an terrific job of getting the basic frame up.  We’re ready for rain and moving on to the next projects.
